Delegates to Convention Election Info 2019

To all Members,

In regards to the Ballot Instructions Item 3 sentence 5, the sentence reads ‘ENVELOPES RECEIVED WITHOUT VOTER INFORMATION OR CONTAINING DAMAGED CONTROL NUMBERS WILL BE VOIDED”, this line was not properly amended to suit our current election for the CWA 77th National Convention. No “control numbers” were used on any forms in this process. The amended Instructions should read as follows.

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTE

  1. Mark the ballot in the box(es) which express(es) your choice. Do not place your name, initials or any other identifying information on the ballot. Ballots containing any identifying information will be voided. If you spoil your ballot please contact Charles Fuentes, Temporary Election Committee Chair Person at CWA 6143 between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday to request a duplicate.
  2. Place your ballot in the small envelope labeled SECRET BALLOT on the front and seal the envelope. Insert the sealed Secret Ballot envelope inside the pre-addressed stamped envelope to the CWA Local 6143 Post Office Box 15500, San Antonio Texas 78212 and seal it.
  3. Your name and address have been added to the pre addressed envelope to the CWA Local 6143, Post Office Box 15500, San Antonio, Texas 78212. DO NOT COVER OR DAMAGE THIS INFORMATION ON THE ENVELOPE! (The Election Committee will use this information solely for verifying eligibility.) The secrecy of your vote will be protected by way of the other SECRECT BALLOT envelope which will be separated from the pre addressed envelope, then mixed with other SECRET BALLOT envelopes before they are opened and counted. ENVELOPES RECEIVED WITHOUT VOTER INFORMATION WILL BE VOIDED.
  4. Mail the pre addressed, self-stamped envelope as soon as possible.

IN ORDER TO BE COUNTED, BALLOTS MUST BE MAILED IN TIME TO REACH THE SAN ANTONIO POST OFFICE BOX NO LATER THAN 5:00PM ON JULY 10, 2019.

DO NOT CUT, SIGN OR PLACE YOUR IDENTIFYING INFORMATION ON THE BALLOT

Unfortunately, some return envelopes were sent out without proper postage in place. We regret that this issue caused any impediment in the voting process, due to the volume of ballots mailed out not all return envelopes with insufficient postage were caught in our verification process. Any member who experiences this postage issue may use a stamp of their own on their return envelope.   If you have any issues, please contact Charles Fuentes, Temporary Election Committee Chair at CWA 6143 between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
